Again, we had really good bottom fishing for Rockfish and other tasty bottom species like Lingcod and Whitefish. Local island fishing was particularly good for some boats. We had a ¾ day trip report back with limits of Rockfish and a bunch of Sculpin, and it was only 10:30 AM. By the end of the day, this boat had added 80 Whitefish to they’re already impressive count. All in all, this Sunday was good to all fishing the Channel Islands. It didn’t seem to matter if you were fishing the coast, inner islands or the outer islands, they were simply biting! On top of good fishing the weather was again very nice. That does look to be changing however. Rumor has it we have a storm system moving our way and we may see some rain in the beginning of this week. Our trips are still scheduled to run during this time because the fish are already wet and it shouldn’t affect the bite. In fact, some of our best fishing days have been during a torrential downpour.

Today’s Fish Count: 9 boats and 226 anglers.
2,150 Assorted Rockfish, 128 Lingcod, 284 Ocean Whitefish, 55 Sheephead, 1 Perch, 12 Sculpin, 1 Calico Bass, and 26 Bonito
