We headed across to Santa Rosa Island today with a decent weather forecast. We ran up to the west end first thing in the morning but fishing was slow and scratchy right off the bat. We tried a variety of depths but did not find anything willing to really bite for us.

We found that the water was an off color and a there was a big Westerly swell coming through the channel. We decided to run down the islands in hopes of finding a change in condition or water clarity but never did. We did find a zone where the lingcod wanted to bite and we put on some good quality fish which was a fun time for our passengers. We also caught some decent rockfish off that same zone but it didn't last very long.

For our 17 anglers that we had fishing we ended up with 98 rockfish and 25 lingcod. The stardust is 3/4 day fishing tomorrow with a few spots still available and the Coral Sea is fishing 1/2 day with some room as well. You can make reservations through our website or call the sea landing at 8059633564.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
