We had a beautiful weather report for today so it's no surprise we headed straight over to Santa Rosa Island this morning. Virtually no wind or swell and very mild current on our crossing. We headed straight for the shallower water first and found a few spots willing to give us some nice coppers and a couple lingcod.

We never really left the shallow water zone but did try numerous spots from Rosa down towards Santa Cruz.

Our best fishing came later in the day when the current picked up slightly. We caught lots of coppers with a few reds and some more lingcod plus a lot of other assorted rockfish. We fished until we were out of time but still managed a very nice day with some great quality fish and happy passengers.

For our 24 anglers we caught 179 rockfish, 1 ocean whitefish and 17 lingcod. The stardust is 3/4 day fishing tomorrow and still has a ton of spots open, feel free to book spots now for upcoming trips on our website or call the Sea landing at 805-963-3564.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
