Good afternoon anglers we are just heading in here after beautiful day of fishing at Santa Rosa Island.

With our 16 anglers on board we left early and headed up to the western portion of Santa Rosa Island  for our day.  It took a little looking around before we found an area that wanted to bite and our group had fun catching lingcod on the lighter tackle in the shallower water.  We released most of what we caught and ended up finding a few edges with some nice quality lingcod that were eager to bite.  The giant swimbaits were much harder to get bit on today however many stayed persistent.   As always the live Sardine was the most productive.  After we had what we needed we headed deeper to look for Rockfish and struggled to find anything that wanted to get with it.  We picked a few here and few there until we were able out of time.

Our 16 anglers ended the day with 114 Rockfish, 3 Cabezon, 1 Sheepshead and 32 Lingcod.

The next trip on the Stardust with availability will be Tuesday and Wednesday with 1/2 Day Trips and the Coral Sea has 3/4 Day Trips Monday- Wednesday as well.   Please call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 for a reservation or visit our website to book online.
