The headlines read as follows: "Homan takes the jackpot on Aloha Spirit", "Homan nails JP again", "Homan makes it Three in a Row !! Can he be Stopped ?" With headlines like that I figured I better jump on board with this guy a see if I couldn't wrestle a couple of hot tips from "The Man" himself. I met up with SFR's own Homan Khaki for an Island freelance trip with Captain Paul Munowitch aboard the Pacific Islander out of Channel Islands Sportfishing Center in Oxnard. We loaded up with a group of 26 other anglers and headed out of the harbor and across the channel to Anacapa Island to see what we could hook up. We couldn't find any WSB or Yellowtail but did find a hearty school of log barracuda that were eager to eat, resulting in a blast of a time for everyone on board. After we loaded up on 'cuda we headed out for some decent rockfishing for nice reds and other assorted bottom grabbers. It was looking like Homan was gonna make it four in a row before Christo brought up a log cuda that tipped the scale in his favor. All in all a great day on the water, with a great Captain, crew and boat. Give the guys a call at 1 805 382-1612 to make a reservation. See you on the water Don.
